The VW version of this part is also very prone to failure. Again, VW made this part out of plastic and it has inherent weaknesses. The Rocky Mountain Westy version is a lifetime solution with a lifetime warranty. VW made several different designs of this tower between 1986 and 1991. At RMW we have created a product that fits every 2wd van from 1986 to 1991. This makes things easier when trying to figure out what part VW used when they built your van.
