This kind of science is standard practice for racing engines, but rarely do OEM's go to the effort to boost their engines' performance with exhaust tuning. Well now Vanagon waterboxer drivers can benefit from race technology, and replace their entire exhaust system with a long-lived, beautiful all-stainless system that will increase driving pleasure for years and years. The Tri-Y design is more challenging to design and build, but it produces a broader torque curve than a racing-type 4-into-1 collector system, just what is needed to enhance flexibility in on-road vehicles. This system will fit a 2.1L or 1.9L Liter with a 2.1 center mount. (Available as an option below)

And by the way, the sound is awesome!

Features
  • The WBXaustSS is hand-built of US-sourced materials and sub-components, especially the top-quality 16ga. drawn-over-mandrel 304L stainless tubing from industry leader Rath Gibson of Wisconsin. The all-stainless Hushpower muffler and Magnaflow catalytic convertor included with the complete kit are both built in the USA, and carry their manufacturers' lifetime warranties. The whole system is hand-built by the skilled craftsmen at the Rocky Mountain Westy fabrication facility in Fort Collins, Colorado.
  • The complete kit includes every gasket and fastener needed, and detailed instructions for a top-notch installation.

Just had your exhaust installed. Good fit and finish. Very nice sound. Strictly opinion but I do feel more torque in the 2500-3500 rpm range. The shop that did the installation was also very impressed with the quality and fit of your exhaust system. Now if I can just get tencentlife's engine to go with it. Very nice product- all concerned should be proud.

Let me start by saying that my decision to do this was based on past experience with the crew at RMW and the necessity to replace an original exhaust system with 226k miles on it. I wanted a stainless system that would last, I didnt expect it to be so sweet! Not only does it sound great, I can feel the increase in power. The mechanic who installed it couldnt have been more happy, in fact, said he will be putting this system on his van as well.

THANKS RMW FOR A DESIGN AND PRODUCT THAT ONCE AGAIN EXCEEDS MY EXPECTATIONS. YOU GUYS ARE TOP NOTCH!

I received the new SS exhaust yesterday and I am happy with it, looks really nice, everything was well packed, nothing damaged during shipping.
I like the way that everything is in small pieces, nice quality clamps coming with it, everything looks to be top quality, it is going to be easy to put that on my Syncro.

Now if I can get an easy way to get those studs out of those heads with out taking both cylinder heads apart, it will be nice.

I hope I'll be able to put it in soon, I really want to hear that sound.
