Our newly designed lightweight, durable, aluminum ladders are made right here at our manufacturing facility. Powder coated in a black sanded finish for durability and traction. The mounting system is based on the jack points of your van, that coupled with an easy on-easy off mounting system makes this ideal for different mounting locations when trying to access large racks or pods. We have also updated the ladder to easily break down into two sections so that it may be stowed inside the van or your roof pod. non-skid tape has also been provided for that extra traction in wet weather..If you need a ladder, this is the one to get!
Features
  • The top of this ladder fits perfectly into the rain gutter with a rubber strip while the lower section slides into any of the 4 jack points on either side of your van. This ladder moves away from the body for easy use and stows close to the body by sliding the lower section farther into the jack point and securing it with a pin. No need to remove the ladder while you are driving! With a beautiful sanded black powder coated finish, this surface with be able to handle lots of use on your adventures. These ladders are manufactured by us right here at Rocky Mountain Westy.

The ladder had some abrasions in the paint, possibly from shipping.  I cleaned them up and repainted.

Ho-Hum... Another excellent RMW item. July 20, 2011

Worth every penny.  Fits nicely, sturdy as heck, a "must have" item if you have a roof rack, rocket box or portable solar panel on your roof.  
I opted NOT to use the supplied pin for the lower mount; I used a bolt with a nyloc nut to secure to the jack point and make it a bit more tamper-proof.

Ladder is great, the weak link is the pin at the bottom, which has issues.  I made the one supplied work, but I'll be getting out the drill and a different setup w/ cotter pin at the LAPS.
